INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW MUSIC INDUSTRY EDUCATION (Back to Top)
I’ve developed a music production and engineering program that has helped numerous rap artists, singers and musicians attain and master the skills it takes to be a full on MUSIC INDUSTRY PRODUCER & ENGINEER.
I’ve taught novices and experts alike how to build and properly run a lucrative and professional studio and have received numerous amazing tutorials from students all over the world.
Can you imagine making money from doing something you love, working your own hours and being you own boss?
I have compiled and organized hundreds of pages of training notes from over 10 years of study and experience. I have now turned this material into a new 7 week eClass on how to become the music producer and engineer you’ve always dreamed of!
I'm writing today to invite you to attend that class.
THE SCOOP
Many new producers believe that ‘hands on training’ is the only way that they can learn. What no one will tell you is that music production and engineering is nothing more than knowledge and decision making. I like to use the example “I will show you a detailed map of the music production world and once you’ve completed the program you will then be able to drive wherever you want to go in the music industry”. Anyone can sit behind a big mixing desk, have the most expensive equipment, and go to a $100,000 music school to say they did. However, they will be able to fake it only for so long. A school certificate can be just as useless. Students who attended Full Sail, Recording Workshop, the Art Institute of Atlanta, and the Berkley School of Music took my course and didn't know half of the knowledge I was teaching them. Only by seeing the full ‘map’ of knowledge can anyone be 100% focused on their main dream: music.
THE CHALLENGE
The hardest part of the training is the constant mental stretching and fear that must be removed and corrected to fully embrace your goals. This course will directly address those issues. Are you not sure if what someone said at Guitar Center is true? Does it seem like everyone is using a piece of equipment you can’t afford? You will be able to email me directly to answer all your immediate questions, concerns and we will troubleshoot together during the entire course. I will be your own personal coach. When you complete the course I will have taken you through the entire process of setting up your studio, writing, creating, recording, mixing, mastering and the music business. We will take many songs from the ground up to the industry standard. With each homework assignment you will unlearn old habits and no longer be burdened by fear and worry of how you’re going to achieve your goals. I will support and encourage you through this process and I guarantee your success.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (Back to Top) How will an eClass teach me hands on training?
In the new music industry there is no such thing as hands on. Everything is about knowledge. Only by having the knowledge of all the tools involved can you then be productive with hands on training. During the course, you will be given new information in each week’s lesson and then you’ll have homework to get your hands on training with your own equipment. You’ll also have email support from me directly to help get you through unique troubleshooting, extra questions or any other things that come up during the eClass.
Where are the locations?
Anywhere in the world!
When our training program first started, we started with ‘in studio’ training in Atlanta. It took students a year to complete the program. Then we switched to online and phone training. I would log in directly to the student’s computer and walk them through every step. This process took students six months to complete the program.
The eClass now takes under 2 months and can be done from anywhere in the world!
How?
When you go to a college, music institute, studio, or any other place to learn, you lose knowledge in the translation. In other words, after class you have to come home, translate, integrate and then apply everything you learned to your own equipment, circumstance and goals.
Since the eClass will address your own personal studio, you will have no questions at the end of the program because you’ll know where to find the answers. In fact, you’ll be able to unlock gear from any studio you work in. I have trained people through the phone and internet on equipment I never physically used by using these same methods!

Can I get certified for this course? Yes, you can be certified. However, Once again, the importance is knowledge. Certification now has two different meanings. The first is the definition “a document attesting to the truth of certain stated facts”. The second is the thought process of if I get certified; “I’ll be able to get a job in the music industry and I’ll be able to quit my day job.”
Can I get a job after this eClass? Instead of getting a job, you’ll be able to start your own music business - That’s better than getting a job! At the end of this eClass I guarantee you will be able to produce your own music, record clients/yourself, mix, master your material and also create an objective marketing plan for your music.
What if I don’t play an instrument or know anything about music theory? No problem - you can learn it along the way! This eClass includes free piano lessons, basic music theory and also Blue Sound Studio’s Laymen’s music theory and ear training. No matter what you don’t know, you’ll be able to unlock it.
Do I need a PC or MAC If you grew up with a PC, stay on a PC. If a Mac, stay on a Mac. No matter what anyone says, today, all systems are equally powerful. It’s better to stick with what you are familiar with as you have plenty to learn already. Adding a new platform will just complicate the process. Remember, a new computer means learning new navigation, compatibility, new bugs and new issues.
Do I really need ProTools?
The story of ProTools popularity comes from the TDM & HD DSP based systems. Meaning the system uses hardware instead of relying solely on the computer’s memory resources. Now that computers are very powerful the extra expense of these systems are no longer needed. ProTools LE is what most people are familiar with these days. It offers only 32 tracks with no unlimited track capability, EQ is not on every track, and midi editing & capabilities are one of the poorest in the market. Most people use ProTools and another sequencer which is just another expense of time and money. The interface and tools are not user friendly to a beginning producer either. ProTools gets our least favorite rating and has for many years because of these shortcomings. Don’t get me wrong though, if you are using it and it works for you that is great. However, if you are getting started, it is not user friendly and is a system that can easily be outgrown.
I highly recommend Steinberg’s Cubase. Steinberg first created the VST (virtual studio technology) that revolutionized software synthesis. Cubase also works flawlessly with Midi and Audio synchronization, unlimited tracks, EQ on every track, 3 mixer interfaces, and is also bundled with Yamaha’s Motif sounds in the Halion One VST instrument in Cubase 4. Not to mention, Cubase (& Nuendo) are the only programs that record in 32 bit. 32 bit is not a hardware conversion but a software one that gives double the amount of headroom, no clipping when recording, and also provides an analog tape saturation effect that gives vocals and instruments natural warmth – yes digital warmth! Cubase also offers surround sound mixing capabilities and an advanced ‘control room’ for specific headphone mix routing capabilities when tracking a full band. Cubase is our top recommendation and has been for years. It is the easiest to begin engineering with or continue on a professional level. I have witnessed MANY students transfer from ProTools, Logic, Sonar and were more creative afterwards without any limitations, technicalities or bugs.
Why should you take this eClass?
To achieve your music dream!
Whether you’re a professional or a hobbyist, you’ll have these skills forever. For the rest of your life, you will have the opportunity to make money from your music productions and engineering skills.
Other school systems are charging $8,000 to $40,000 for less information! 95% of students who learn from these schools will never use the equipment they were taught on again. Knowledge will put the power of your future in your own hands. Your sound will be the industry standard guaranteed.
What can I expect during and after the eClass?
This eClass is not only about the technicalities of creating music but also the spiritual aspects. Your fears, insecurities, even childhood issues will come up. In order for your music to grow technically and creatively, you’ll need to grow yourself too. Not only does the eClass recommend books for you to grow yourself but you also get four free ebooks that will cover such topics as Conquering Fear, Secrets about prosperity and manifesting prosperity.
Give yourself space, time and patience to grow. You’ll realize that you can conquer any project that seems overwhelming with the steps you’ll learn in this eClass. Be easy on yourself and remember that you’re going for your dreams – that is half the journey!
How does the eClass work? The eClass is focused on unlocking all aspects of music production and engineering and taking out all the technicalities so you can be more creative. This is unlike any other program you will encounter. You will also be given valuable learning tools you can apply to any aspect of your life.
Each week you will receive a lesson that includes homework and reading from the textbook. Each lesson is a weeklong. However, some students may need more or less time to complete the week’s lesson. Although it is not recommended, the flexibility is there. Unlike most educational systems, the eClass is customized to your schedule, learning curve and ‘life-factor’ – those things that you just can’t predict. In other words, you don’t have to worry about missing valuable information because life happens.
What is the Catch?
This eClass program is not your typical or conventional education. There is no huge faculty or unlimited resources, there is no physical location to attend the courses. I run an independent music business that I started from the ground up. I can’t make you a star but I will show you the path to be your own entrepreneur and achieve your dreams and goals in the music industry. The rest is up to you.
Do I need equipment to get started?
Yes you’ll need equipment but you won’t need equipment to get started. In the first week’s lesson I will tell you word for word everything you need and why. This is the lesson of foundation to build all the other lessons on. If you do not learn on your own equipment, how can you permanently retain all of this information?
The goal is to get every component needed to operate a full fledge recording and music production studio. I will help protect your budget by providing custom consulting. There is some gear you can skimp on and other equipment you cannot. Don’t buy another thing! This may sound stressful but it will be a breeze. Let me take the hassle out of everything, answer all of your questions and ensure you get the most professional equipment at the best price within your budget. I’ll be taking all the pressures off your shoulders and will help you through the whole process.

The following is what a few people have said about my training programs:
"Oh man, where do I start? I was SUPER skeptical about these online courses for audio because I thought to myself, how will someone teach me via the internet? Don’t they need to be right here next to me to see what I am doing wrong or right? After searching the internet for months I ran across sites like Berkley music and it just didn’t seem tailored enough to my genre of music and focused on things that steered my creative energy into another direction. I then found Gotchanoddin.com. I looked at every angle and decided to give it a shot. The setup was so easy and we were off and running within a couple minutes. I learned so much that I would recommend this program to anyone! From organizing my drum sounds, creating templates, integrating the different gear I use and overall clean up was priceless. I used to have to search for sounds but I am so organized and it’s so quick that my clients are amazed with how fast and accurate I work. Since completing the course, I’ve placed songs on albums, on the radio, and I currently have songs in submission for commercials and motion pictures. My confidence has grown so much and to be in this game it is VERY important to be confident. The drum sounds that GN offers are dope! If there is any advice you take from this....Get with Gotchanoddin.com. You will NOT regret it! I didn’t. “Peace"

When I first started this training I couldn't even get around my computer. I am now halfway through the course and am already producing hot tracks, recording artists in my town, and this is only halfway through the training! This course is one of the best investments I've ever made and it has been SO much more affordable than the other schools I researched. The training has made it possible for me to fulfill my dream of being a producer/engineer. Thanks Blue Sound Studios & Gotcha Noddin.com for all your help!" -Wil Irizarry- Equipment: Cubase SE, Reason, M-Audio midi controller, KRK Rockit 8
-------------------------------------------------------- "What more can i say... GOTCHA NODDIN! I started Audio Production from GROUND ZERO. I have purchased beats and taken classes from BLUE SOUND STUDIOS & GN. TOP HONORS. I made a life decision between going back to get my masters in Audio Production or getting great Hands On Training from the GN School. I chose GN after interviewing both on what I would get from the courses. All I have to say is that their instructors are very detail, in depth training and great to work with. I WOULD TRULY RECOMMEND BLUE SOUND STUDIOS & GOTCHA NODDIN! A 5 Star Program and Beat Site!!! Gotcha Noddin... THANKS!" -Minxx- Equipment: CubaseSX, Yamaha Motif, MPC1000, Digi002, Reason
--------------------------------------------------------------- "I searched around the internet for information on how to use the MPC 1000. I've bought books, asked in forums and then I came across "GotchaNoddin.com" and their training packages. I sent them an email requesting more information, and received a phone call the same day. The training package was customized to me and my needs in the studio. Not only did my trainer cover the MPC 1000, he also covered how to use it and other tools efficiently in my studio. There was a lot that I "thought" I knew, but my trainer opened my eyes to a whole new light. He was great and I would definitely recommend him to others in need of guidance. THANKS!" Orlando Robinson "Squalley" Equipment: Korg Triton Pro, MPC 1000, Cubase SX3, Reason 3 www.philthybasement.net ---------------------------------------------------------- "I just got done with a training session from Blue Sound Studios & GN and I have nothing but good things to say. I was having trouble getting started with some of the features on my MPC1000 and GN technical support helped me sort through some of the technical sludge that had been slowing me down. Plus they provided me with some good tips on how I could work smarter and make the whole process a lot more of a creative experience. If I hadn't gotten the help I got from GN I'd probably be wheeling through my MP's interface and scratchin' my head for god knows how long. Y'all are doin' good things and I really appreciate the help!" -Jonathan Pippenger- Equipment: MPC 1000/Pro Tools/Reason/Ableton Live
